We stumbled over this impressive Italian design. It’s made by the furniture design company Clei, and you will never guess that this couch can flip into a BUNK bed.
You can actually fit two beds into this couch.

Amazing engineering
The engineering and planning that goes into this design is simply amazing. The team behind Clei has done several cool designs, but this sofa is just over the top.

There are many bulky and clumsy designs, where you compromise on the design part when you try to add multiple functions to a piece of furniture, but not on this one.

They even managed to implement a protective barrier and a ladder into the design, so you don’t have to store these elsewhere. They could have been hidden below the couch, but no – they are beautifully integrated into the system.
Dimensions and technical aspects of the bunk bed couch
The sofa dimensions are 81.1 x 35.4 x 37.4 inches, and the bunk bed dimensions are 81.1 x 35.4 x 54.7 inches. You have 26 inches between the two beds, so there’s plenty of space.
The bunk bed system is piston operated, which means it is nicely adjusted and easy to handle. It has a fully removable covering, which means you can wash it and clean it when needed.
Each bed can hold 330 lbs (150 kg), and the weight of the furniture is not listed.
